Voteer CSR & ESG Policy

Voteer’s CSR policy is part of a broader ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) approach. As a key player in democratic and decision-making governance, the “G” is especially central to our mission: ensuring transparency, integrity, and inclusion in every election or vote is a fundamental commitment.

Environment

Reducing our carbon footprint

Online voting helps save, on average, 6 to 10 times the CO₂ emissions of a paper vote conducted by mail. Emissions per voter remain below 0.2 gCO₂ for the full digital voting procedure (infrastructure and delivery of voting credentials). The difference becomes even more significant when accounting for voter travel to polling locations, where the footprint can increase by hundreds of times.

Environmental sustainability

Our partner data centers achieve an average PUE of 1.15 (vs 1.57 on average in the sector), demonstrating strong energy efficiency. This is complemented by responsible hosting choices and a broader digital sobriety approach.

Environmental and societal commitment

  • Low-carbon mobility and energy efficiency: encouraging low-carbon travel, actively supporting remote work, and reducing energy consumption in our offices and infrastructure.
  • Circular economy: sorting, recycling, and recovery of waste, supported by internal awareness and training initiatives.
  • Inclusion and community engagement: promoting diversity, digital inclusion, and supporting civic and nonprofit initiatives.

Social

Digital accessibility

The Voteer platform is designed to be accessible to everyone, including users with disabilities. In line with the WCAG 2.2 accessibility framework, Voteer achieves a 96.8% compliance rate, ensuring an inclusive and equitable experience.

Commitment to our employees

We provide our teams with an inclusive and stimulating work environment that supports both professional and personal development.

Governance & Data

Data protection and digital sovereignty

Security and confidentiality are central pillars of our approach. Voteer applies rigorous, transparent management practices aligned with GDPR and with regulatory requirements. Our advanced encryption and sealing mechanisms ensure the integrity, traceability, and auditability of every voting process. This topic is discussed in greater detail in the section dedicated to security and data governance.

Responsibility and vigilance culture

We actively train and educate our teams on sustainable development challenges. In parallel, we apply a cyber-risk prevention policy based on strict rules, controlled security procedures, and regular training sessions. This approach combines regulatory discipline with a culture of digital vigilance, ensuring stronger protection of data and infrastructure.

Transparency and ethical framework

We communicate clearly and honestly about our practices, commitments, and results to strengthen trust with customers and partners. Our Ethics and Sustainable Development Charter, reviewed regularly, translates these values into concrete actions and ensures consistency across our ESG approach.

By placing security, human expertise, corporate responsibility, data protection, and governance at the core of our mission—and by relying on our Ethics and Sustainable Development Charter—Voteer positions itself as a trusted partner for any organization seeking to run votes with transparency, confidence, and efficiency.
